Scouts from Troop 288 took part in a fun two-night camp out at the Morrow Mountain State Park, located in Stanly County North Carolina near Albemarle and adjacent to Lake Tillery.

The State Park consist of 4,545 acres within the Uwharrie Mountains. Waters and woodlands are home to a variety of plant and animal life. Frogs and salamanders live in and near streams and marshes, and are frequently observed. Birds enjoy the wooded environment in all seasons. In the upland forests, observant hikers may spot a scarlet kingsnake, one of North Carolina's most colorful snakes, or catch a glimpse of a fence lizard.

The Scouts set up camp and worked on their Cooking requirements preparing lunch, dinner and breakfast meals.

The Scouts also got in some quality fishing time on the lake

Camp life is exhausting but FUN!
